Love Letter 11 – Rose
Love Letter 11 – Rose
Strains of the outside world fade amidst celebratory ‘zooming’ with fine, constant friends + colleagues (one in the same) and my beautiful, fabulous family! This feeling of utopia carries into the pages of Mom’s Love Letter 11 as David Byrne’s ‘American Utopia’ plays overhead:
3 A.M.
Hello Dear!
How could I pass by this card when I saw it this evening – such a gorgeous rose!
Ventured thru’ the White House in Oakland for an hour or so before work to-nite.
Here it is 3 A.M. and have done all of 35 mins work besides writing 3 letters – maybe tomorrow I’ll be caught up in my correspondence.
Oh darling – I love you so very much and think of you all the time.
Can you just imagine how wonderful it’s going to be when we’re together again, only 221 days till April 29th (31 weeks & 4 days sounds much better).
Haven’t done much since I wrote you last nite – just slept and ate.
Got some local papers from mom to-day and caught up on the latest gossip from up north.
Hope the job is going well w/ you, dear. “Oh, I hate work” – whose words could those be – oh Bryan soon we’ll be together.
How lucky can I be to have you!
That card is so appropriate for us.
How could Mom pass by the sweetheart card – a lover’s vibrant red rose standing out amongst the rest like a 3D version of itself!? Her abiding love and passion accentuated by the symbol of a rose . . . so appropriate indeed.

221 Days. OMG that’s an eternity! I imagine that long distance love is VERY difficult.
I love that she counts down the days . . . most certainly an eternity.
Long distance AND no FaceTime calls.
