Love Letter 11 – Honey

Love Letter 11 – Honey

Northern Divine caviar and Grey Goose chill in optimal Liebherr compartments as mandarin and lemongrass diffuse the dimly lit room and the top 40 songs of 2020 bellow from the kitchen device. I temporarily and happily lose myself into the spirit of September 1960, switching to the top songs of 1960 and reaching for Mom’s Love Letter 11:

Watched some T.V. this p.m. also – they have some pretty fair programmes on now – sorry we can’t watch them together, but then how much T.V. did we watch, eh? Either I was sleeping or trying to keep my love content – ha.
Can hardly wait until this afternoon 12 hours when I know your letter will be at #102 – if you mailed it?
Am now reading one of Philip Wylie’s pocket books – rather weird – called “The Disappearance” – about the disappearance of all females –
– suddenly for men there were no women
– suddenly for women there were no men
Quite a shock to one’s system.
Rather fascinating at times but also a little aggravating – only 100 pages left.
Well my dear this is just a short note, but will write again real soon.
Remember always Bryan – I love you more than words can say!
Can hardly wait to gab about the stores in Winnipeg – just looking, then buying.
I miss you my darling, but keep thinking that we’ll be together soon.
Take care of yourself honey –
Bye now
Hello to all!
Yours always,
Bette

Chopp – Chopp
P.S. Hope Carole & Don (from F.F.) get in touch w/ you while they are in Wpg – good to have a chat w/ them over a beer or such.
Boy Carole sure knows all about me –
Bye honey
I love You

It’s a wonder Mom can keep from fluttering about the halls of Alta Bates as she reminisces television viewing (for the most part) with her honey, anticipates love letters arriving from her honey and envisions future shopping adventures with her honey . . . how sweet it is!

Reading a “pocket book”…. How cute.
Although as she reads about the disappearance of all women, she reassures Bryan that she “love him more then words can say” ….hope wonderful.
