Love Letter 65 – Question – Answer Section
How is a full moon lit? Does time actually fly? Do parallel universes exist? A myriad of questions worth pondering while lazing back in the cloud coloured upholstered wingback chair ingesting the last handful of the grill bitch’s bar nuts. I glance past the double-paned window onto the vastness of the settling sea before being redirected to my itty-bitty corner of the world with the subdued sounds of cozy coffee shop jazz and the whirling wedding planning pages of January, 1961 within Mom’s Love Letter 65:

Now for question — answer section.
Come on darling you’d better read over my answers thoroughly – it seems some of your questions have been answered in previous letters — Ready!
1. Have left appropriate time between the end of the ceremony & reception. We will drive around for a few mins. Return to the church for pics, then to the reception (no idea what the people will do, but probably won’t get to the reception until 9 o’clock).
2. Cars are all assigned.
If the weather is real lousy only a couple of cars will be decorated – if too windy will blow the decorations apart — also it’s real dark up here by 6 pm – we definitely won’t use scotch tape.
3. Will get the info for you re: the marriage license.
4. Won’t need the crinoline dear – have the proper attire – thank Carol anyway, please.
5. If our invitation & announcements are completed & the invitations are sent.
6. Good to hear you’ll be here Thurs — sooner the better, my love.
Rehearsal 7:30 Friday and will get everything arranged re: the Johns then.
7. Already dear, guess we’ll stay at Auntie Bertha’s.
Will get my nite wear there well beforehand.
They will be staying in our basement bedroom for the 2 nites — Don on the couch upstairs.
Their idea.
We’ll be busy Sunday – and have to see our families off at the train.
Also if we have many duplicates will be real busy Mon A.M. trading gifts & returning them to the stores.
Leave Mon afternoon — we’ll see dear.
8. The clock looks perfect – 17.17. I’ll tell Aunt Bertha & Uncle Frank.
Can you get it if I send the money from them?
9. Thanx about the engagement announcement.
Hope they didn’t mind too much.
I did say the late Mr. N.W. Nisbet, but actually so few would know Mom’s name from that as Dad has been gone for so long — nearly 17 years now.
10. We’ll have great fun shopping honey – so many essentials to pick up.
People are phoning asking what they can give us — and 2 more have suggested money to purchase ironing board, lamps, etc – as then we wouldn’t have to pack so much. Good idea.
11. Will write if we run real low on funds, but will see — wish we had a million.
I’ll yell, dear.
12. There will still be a gathering at Auntie Bertha’s after the rehearsal. Sure sorry that the other kids won’t be there.
Glad to hear of our Manitoba plates – Canadians again.
I’ll have to get my registration (Man.) after I get to Wpg tho ($20 or so).
Well darling, I’ll close now & write again soon.
I Love You, dearest.
All My Love!
Yours always, Bette

Chopp Chopp!!
In one ear and out the other, huh Mom?! It’s been said that Men are from Mars but I’m thinking Dad’s just a wee bit distracted with, you know, your BIG day right around the corner! Besides, your descriptive question-answer section is surely a welcome reminder and a timely cure.
