Love Letter 65 – Stereo Set

Love Letter 65- Stereo Set

The grandeur of everything ‘grand’ spilleth over into my inner world like the golden glowing star and its symphony of layered hues spilling into the silent slate-grey sea. I swimmingly shift today’s overflowing gratitude into the remastered works of Elton and the welcoming written words of Mom’s Love Letter 65, Flin Flon, 1961:

Sat 8 p.m.
Dearest!
Just re-read your letter and how wonderful to hear from you every Sat. – thanks dear!
Am sure I’m still in a slight shock condition from that Tues. shower – hardly a surprise and what a wonderful start on our crystal.
Honestly I can’t even remember days of the week now – truly numb at this stage.
Really an experience getting ready for our wedding – only wish you were here to hear of the many unexpected surprises that arise, but all clears up in the end.
Always something to think about. Have stayed in more this week (2 days) so I could be w/ Gran.
Gran’s sister passed away this week so Gran has been feeling fairly low so I stay w/ her all I can.
We sat & talked for nearly 3 hours last nite, then I got to bed fairly early.
Had a rather busy day at work to-day, but the time sure flew.
Mom & Ethel off to the first show & I’m meeting them after for a beer – nite out w/ the girls, eh dear?!
I miss you so very much, honey. I love you dear!
Got a letter from Carol Hardy to-day. Guess their baby is a real boy and keeps her busy.
She’s accepting motherhood quite well – remember she enjoyed their frequent outings.
She mentioned them going out as much as they can (babysitters quite expensive), and they had spent an expensive evening over in San Fran — Oscars, Gold Street, etc.
—oh honey, doesn’t that sound familiar?
Guess Wayne has been out on the road, Denver, L.A., etc quite a bit since Christmas.
No mention of them moving at all.
Haven’t heard from Ernestine for awhile — last letter she was still pleased w/ California.
Your sketch was superb, dear – was wondering where we could put the stereo set — looks great.
I bet that sun burst clock was in the same catalogue as I was looking at (our T.V. tables are in there if so – King size crystalline tables w/ 2 roasters on).
Am sitting here writing you my dear & attempting to listen to the hockey game — sure wish we had T.V.
I’ll finish your letter tomorrow nite, honey and answer your questions.

Dad’s superb room sketch is surely an eye-catching perspective of ideal interior placements of anticipated fabulous furnishings and the all important stereo set . . . I’m guessing he etched in wiggle room for your spontaneous cha-cha-chas!

Oh, I’ve finally decided my future lies,Beyond the yellow brick road
