Love Letter 25 – Bed-Partner
Love Letter 25 – Bed-Partner
Mindful memories of a blissful weekend momentarily invade my thoughts with lingering tasty temptations wafting through the sun-drenched writing room. I drift easily into Maxwell’s falsetto while losing myself within the continuing pages of Mom’s Love Letter 25:

Joan & Ernie are about the same – a little more moody tho’ – guess we’ve all had enough of each other –
All I know is my next roommate will be my bed-partner – my husband.
Zowie does that sound great!
Hope all is going well w/ your work dear.
“Oh I hate work” – remember that prize line of yours.
Nice to hear that Harry phoned you – not many more relatives to meet up w/ dear.
Please say hello to all for me – Thanx.
Besides everything else happening guess what – my “monthly friendly visitor” I got to-day – felt rather miserable and took a couple pills, hot water bottle and laid down part of the evening.
Too bad you weren’t w/ me to rub my back –
Actually just so much happening suppose that’s what brought it on – hope it doesn’t move up too quickly and hit around April 29th – ??
I love you dear so very much and can only wait 11 more days.
It will almost be 2 months when I get back to you –
Time had nearly stopped for awhile there.
Will be w/ you for 10 days or so now – then 2 weeks at Christmas –
Will hear from home at the beginning of the week – nothing too serious, but would like to be around w/ Mom and help.
Well dear will close now – hope you managed to get some sleep –
Seems funny while you’re snug in bed I am working – not too busy to-nite, but have some fairly sick people –
I love you dear.
Till we’re with each other again –
11 days.
Yours always!
Bette

Time is so close Mom – you can almost taste it . . . 11 days and counting!
Nothing can derail the visions of you and your soon-to-be bed-partner – not even your ‘friendly monthly visitor.’
Shouldn’t I realize,
You’re the highest of the high.
