Love Letter 25 – Survive

Love Letter 25 – Survive

I’m amazed at today’s events, I’m amazed as healings progress and I’m amazed love survives within all of our lives. Thank goodness! I welcome Paul McCartney’s serenade as I swim in the soothing, warm embrace of Mom’s Love Letter 25:

Hi My Dear!
How wonderful it was to talk w/ you a few hours ago – sorry to disturb you at such a weird hour – hope I didn’t fluster you too much, honey.
It made me feel so much better just talking w/ you.
There has been so very much happening this past week and haven’t stopped running.
And then because I’ve decided to leave so suddenly have been invited to so many places.
Going out for supper tomorrow Mon and Tues for the evening.
Wed & Thurs – Tysons – will hear from them later on to-day.
Am trying to get everything packed & shipped out Tues so I’ll be able to have it in Wpg in due time to go thru’ (customs).
Bryan, I love you so very much and can hardly wait to have your arms around me – just think dear 10 more working nites and less then 2 weeks.
I hope this doesn’t interrupt any of your plans, dear.
Will be in Wpg. Oct 21/60 at 5:25 pm – supposedly – I will stay for at least 10 days – Mom will phone me at your home if anything should arise.
My appetite surprisingly enough has decreased since I’ve been so busy.
Got your card and letter to-day – real cute card dear especially the additions.
Can hardly wait to meet your friends & relatives, especially your grandparents.
Joan, Mary Kaye, and I went to the football game to-day. Calif versus Washington State (21-21) but I do think I prefer pro football tho’.
A very impressive site at the game to-day as there were over 105 high school bands – put on a very nice arrangement at half time.
Typical fall weather has come – clear blue skies – even a little brisk.
How is the weather in Wpg dear – cool or what – too warm for my fur jacket?
If I do arrive at 5:30 pm on Friday, will you be off work, dear – I can easily wait around the airport – anyway just hope all goes well w/ the ticket buying – thank you again dear – you are so very good to me –
Can’t say too much has happened – you must laugh every time you read a line like that because every letter you get there is a wee bit of a change.
Other than that dear there is a chance I’ll survive – can hardly see me for dust at times tho’ –
Still want to marry me, dear?

What a difference a week makes – a change of plans, a flurry of social engagements and a growing list of to-dos calmed, for the moment, while telling tales on the telephone wire at weird hours with your one and only . . . Mom you’ll certainly survive.

Maybe I’m amazed at the way you’re with me all the time
