Love Letter 62 – p.p.s.
Love Letter 62 – p.p.s.
Neither rain, nor snow, nor sleet, nor hail will keep me from weekend merriment – regardless of the mixed bag of emotions accompanying today’s messy medley of climatic conditions. I willingly take control of adjusting my internal environment with a click of the thermostat, a search for a Crowded House melody and lean into the continuing snugness of Mom’s Love Letter 62, Flin Flon, 1961:

You’ll really have to excuse the remainder of this letter – there are 5 of us sitting in the kitchen gabbing and telling jokes.
Glad to hear you’re taking great care re: our furniture – oh you’re sweet.
Time goes so fast – Carole dropped over to-nite so we went over the wedding plans – so you see 3 hours have passed.
Hope that you have had opportunity to work on our thesis!!
How is everyone at home – hello to all!
Everyone fairly good at home – Don been absolutely ridiculous the past 2 hours.
Well my dear, I’ll close now & write again in a couple days.
Remember honey I love you more than anything in this world!
Until we’re together again —
Yours always,
Bette

Chopp – Chopp!
(p.p.s. – how come no chopp-chopp).
p.p.s – please give me an idea re: our honeymoon nite —
hotel or Auntie Bertha’s – just give a few remarks & I’ll decide.
Love You!!
A couple of post postscripts in one letter, huh Mom – I suspect with the group’s gabbing, zany joke telling and a brother’s round the clock folly there’s really no telling how many p’s will end up before the ‘s’ . . .
p.p.s. your love letters are heaven-sent, Mom and they mean the world to me
Everywhere you go
Always take the weather with you
