Love Letter 34 – Wrestling

Love Letter 34 – Wrestling

The sweet aroma of Arabica beans fill the cabin inspired walls of the homegrown roastery, enticing passersby into the grips of caffeine euphoria. I’m grateful to have escaped the caffeine grasp, along with that of nicotine, some twenty odd years ago and elect my now customary London Fog with almond milk and an accompanying chocolatey pastry. Who am I kidding, I’m still in the grips of caffeine rapture?!
I buzz home with a boogie in my step, a sweet satiated tummy, an enthusiastic mind and a constant craving for Mom’s stimulating words in the continuing pages of Love Letter 34:

Before we knew it – it was nearly 3 o’clock & everyone went home, then downstairs, Mom & I went to go thru’ boxes of clothes, books, etc. – oh honey, what a pile of junk I’ve got.
Then Unc Frank took me for a ride in his Mercedes – I never ventured to drive it tho’ – not like our Blue/Green Hornet.
Supper, dishes, now your letter.
Well darling here it is 6:45 pm and brother Don just called, he & a couple of his buddies are down in a bakery where his buddy works and they’re making donuts and want me to come down & see how they make them.
Last time they all made their names, etc. and cooked the dough in all shapes – what nuts.
No doubt I’ll end up taking them out for a cake or such – or end up in a bin of flour.
Don & I had a real wresting bout (about 20 mins.) to-day – sure miss our fights tho’ as we can change the antics a bit – end it all w/ kisses++
Hope everyone is fine down south.
Say hello to all for me please.
Everyone asks about you dear & I’m so busy bragging about my love of whom I’m so proud – gosh I love you Bryan!!
Most of my relatives have suggested money so we can buy what we need.
Eth & Bud said they might give us money for a picture (ocean or Golden Gate Bridge).
Well darling will mail this now – I love you more every day if that’s possible – honey.
Love & Kisses, Bryan.
Yours always,
Bette

Chopp – Chopp!!

Putting the house in order is no easy feat, Mom – neither is going head-to-head ‘in the ring’ – unless of course your grappling techniques are matched against your prizefighting lover.
And sure, wrestling is all fine and good until someone inadvertently breaks a leg . . . and even then it’s all good!

Don’t stop ’til you get enough
