Love Letter 68 – My Narration
Love Letter 68 – My Narration
I’m witness to the tender touch of nature’s magic wand as hints of morning hues stain the open canvas above the rousing coastal city. A couple of song sparrows take the daybreak as their morning cue for conversational chirping. I too welcome the early beginnings of the brilliance of day with gracious gratitude before returning to a winter’s evening, 1961 within the illuminating pages of Mom’s Love Letter 68:
Friday – 8 p.m.
Hi My Honey!
How I love you my dear!
Oh so very much.
Another damn week-end and soon it will be over, over, hurray. I miss you so very much, Bryan.
Stayed home last nite & put my shower cards in a scrapbook – we’ll spend several hours looking thru’ the book & w/ my narration, dear.
Went to bed shortly after 10 pm as I thought I was getting a cold (w/ a couple pills & hot lemonade, I beat it!), but more tired to-day.
Lousy day at work – had a fairly busy morning, but this afternoon really dragged by, so after work Dani Jobin (nurse I work w/) & yours truly roared over to the pub for a couple beers before closing time (2 alkis) laughed & joked & felt better after the crappy day.
Had supper, 2 phone calls & here I am dear — so lovely — Wish you could drop by & make some time?!!
(frustation –)
Everything is going along pretty fair, honey – I’m not worrying too much but there’s sure a lot to think about.
But, mainly my mind is on our apartment – We’ve got a lot of work to do to settle down, but oh what fun!
Will close now, my love & continue tomorrow.
I don’t blame you for cheering the damn week-ends away, Mom. But you’re in the last stretch of days and night without your guy . . . and soon you’ll be filling Dad’s ear with more than your narration – oh what fun!
